Humanistic Astrologers start off with a look at the chart's wholeview or whole pattern. It's important to get an "impression" of the chart as a whole. People who haven't been exposed to birth charts often register the gestalt of the whole chart with greater ease than astrologers, who tend to not see the forest for the trees. The Lunation Type, the phase of the moon at birth, is also primary. And we are cyclicity, so a cycle is 360 degrees, not 180. This means we differentiate waxing (between the conjunction and the opposition) and waning aspects (after the opposition and before the next conjunction). This is the core stuff of humanistic astrology, and you'll learns lots more about it CyberWorld Khaldea it in the coming months. The phase arcs and midpoints shown on the grid are also cyclic, read The Astrology of Relationship for the first word on cyclic midpoints. Click here for a legend showing the aspect symbols. In the Aspect Grid, waxing aspects are shown in black, waning aspects are shown in maroon. We'll explore what all this means in coming months, and even if you never read a chart before, you'll soon be doing it with ease. Along the way, we'll feature lots more interesting astrological charts, and what you see above is just a glimpse of what's to come. The forthcoming online Chart Gallery will be loaded with graphics like this one, and we'll soon make it possible for you to obtain your own personal birth chart online! It's all happening at CyberWorld Khaldea. In the meanwhile, click on the books at the left and learn more about core humanistic astrology from the people who developed it in the first place.
